Alkesh Shah is a managing director and head of Global Crypto and Digital Assets Strategy at BofA Global Research. Shah has driven BofA Global Research’s thought leadership in the digital asset space by identifying global trends and offering strategic insights to institutional and retail clients. His thematic research covers crypto-assets, including tokens and infrastructure companies, and applications, such as NFTs, DeFi, stablecoins and CBDCs.

Previously, Shah led Bank of America’sdigital and mobile strategy for the Data and Innovation group. He was responsible for delivering the firm’s insights through Bank of America’s digital channels, including leading the strategy for the launch of BofA InsightTM Mobile, the bank’s first-ever firm-wide content and CRM app. Before joining Bank of America in 2013, Shah was a managing director in Equity Research at Morgan Stanley where he led the Global CommTech Research team to an Institutional Investor #1 ranking.

With more than 25 years of technology experience, Shah has played an integral role in bringing leading technologies companies public. He was named to the Wall Street Journal's annual "Best on the Street" for stock-picking and recognized as a leading analyst in his sector by Institutional Investor, Reuters, First Call and Greenwich Associates.

Shah earned his BA from Cornell University and MBA from Columbia Business School.
