At Polygon, Amit leads the research and development of next-generation DeFi protocols to grow and support the DeFi ecosystem. He specializes in the field of crypto-economics, spearheading the development of blockchain economic models at Polygon. Previously he has researched in the intersection of cryptocurrency, finance, econometrics, and statistics. Amit had also worked in quantitative roles in TradFi firms like JPMorgan Chase and ICICI bank. Amit started his career in the field of computational fluid dynamics. He holds a PhD in Economics from the University of Warwick, an MA in economics from the Delhi School of Economics, and a Bachelor of Technology from IIT Kanpur.
