Dr. Laurence E. Day
The Wildcat Protocol | Co-Founder
Laurence Day is the co-founder of the Wildcat protocol and CEO of Wildcat Labs. After building his first Bitcoin miner in 2012, Laurence was originally destined for a life in banking analytics software development before his Damascene conversion to Ethereum on the day of the Parity multisig freeze in 2017 (having narrowly avoided becoming a Cardano developer after completing a PhD in functional programming in 2014). An alumni of Intel Labs, Standard Chartered Bank and the universities of Nottingham and Leeds in the UK — focusing at various times on mathematics, computer science, financial engineering and law — Laurence has spent the last seven years as a contributor to DeFi under various levels of anonymity. Now fully public, he both agitates for sensible UK regulation concerning various aspects of crypto and drives the development and adoption of a transparent, configurable settlement layer for private credit via Wildcat
