Before co-founding Areta in 2022, Karl-Martin spent five years at Blackstone’s Private Equity Group, with earlier roles at JP Morgan and Deutsche Bank. At Areta, he leads the M&A division, advising on transformative deals, including Breakout's sale to Kraken, the sale of New Zealand's largest crypto exchange Easy Crypto, as well as the sell-side mandates for Etherscan's and Coingecko’s first acquisitions.
