Smokey is one of the original co-founders of Berachain, an EVM-identical L1 powered by Proof of Liquidity. He studied engineering at the University of Waterloo, and was previously a healthcare startup founder, then seed/growth stage VC prior to founding Berachain. He has been a cryptocurrency investor since 2015, and is an active angel in infrastructure, DeFi, and UX tooling startups, while serving as a venture partner at Hack VC.
