Born in an entrepreneurial family, since childhood Yichen was inspired to hold the reigns of his own future. Moving with his family from China to Finland in his teenage years boosted his can-do attitude, career ambitions, and multicultural charisma.

Educated on finance in Finland’s most prestigious university, and with the experience of working at top-notch corporations even before graduation, in 2016, Yichen’s mind was at work identifying the next big opportunity.

While Finland’s love for technology served as an inspiration, it was the birth of Bitcoin that truly enlightened his path. Insights from years diving into crypto markets materialized when he founded WhaleLend in 2017, a very early entrant in the crypto lending space. Whalelend eventually morphed into Tesseract, where he is the CEO and the team’s thought leader.
