Yorke serves as the Director of Strategy & Transformation | Traceability & Blockchain within the Cloud Hardware Supply Chain group at Microsoft. His expertise lies in leveraging blockchain and other emerging technologies to revolutionize supply chain. Currently, his work is concentrated on addressing the complex issues of traceability to prevent forced labor and the attribution of Scope 3 emissions in upstream supply chains.Yorke rejoined Microsoft in 2014, inspired by the visionary leadership of Satya Nadella and anticipating a transformative shift within the company. In 2015, he embarked on his blockchain journey and co-founded Blockchain at Microsoft. His entrepreneurial spirit ensures he remains deeply connected to the open-source blockchain community. Throughout his distinguished career, Yorke has adeptly navigated multiple technological revolutions. From the early days of personal computing and Windows to client-server databases, his initial tenure at Microsoft saw him enhancing client-server email systems through Microsoft Exchange. His subsequent career path led him through pioneering roles in wireless internet startups and leadership positions in wireless technology at Goldman Sachs and IBM. Embracing the digital marketing wave, he contributed to the founding of Zeta Interactive and dedicated several years to mobile and web ecommerce initiatives before his return to Microsoft. In addition to his professional endeavors, Yorke imparts his knowledge as an educator at NYU SPS, teaching courses in DPB (Ecommerce) and the Center for Global Affairs (Applying Emerging Technologies in Ethical Sourcing). He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from NYU's Courant Institute of Mathematics.
