Andrew is focusing on strategy, design principles, assessing capabilities & technologies, and creating a CBDC and Digital Currencies suite of products and services for FIS to support full payments value chain, including central infrastructure and applications.

Before joining FIS, Andrew worked for Accenture where he was their strategy and business offering deputy for CBDC and digital assets. Andrew has sold and delivered CBDC projects with central banks and other financial market infrastructure players. Including leading a CBDC innovation project at SWIFT, where he advised how CBDC could impact their business and defined new roles SWIFT could play, developing associated use cases and experiments. Andrew then successfully led a development team to test a cross-border CBDC experiment for SWIFT.

At Accenture Andrew also contributed to CBDC and digital assets point of views and consultation responses. During his time at Accenture he was part of the blockchain practice, where he worked on several DLT initiatives including a government blockchain payments proof of concept.

Andrew’s background is in payments and financial services. Before moving into CBDC Andrew co-led a payments discovery and future payments programme for a UK government department and worked for a large UK bank supporting various payments change and industry initiatives.

Andrew has project and programme management, product and design thinking experience. Andrew holds a BSc (Hons) in International Business Finance and Economics from the University of Manchester.
