SKALESKALE Network Breakdown

On-chain metrics, activity and charts for SKALE.

SKALE Network Overview

SKALE is a network of interoperable, EVM compatible L1s with zero gas fees, built different to scale to the masses. With SKALE's gas-free architecture, user-focused features, and configurable design, developers can truly build without the limits traditionally associated with blockchain.

  • AppChain Architecture: App Chains on SKALE, called SKALE Chains (SChains) are dynamically allocated compute resources in the form of virtualized nodes from SKALE Supernodes
  • Free Transactions: Transactions on SKALE Chains can be either entirely gas free OR utilize a zero economic value gas token, called sFUEL. This makes all transactions 100% free while preventing the network from DDOS attacks. These transactions are covered by subscription fees, which validators are paid for running nodes that power the network.
  • Interoperable: Each SKALE Chain in the network can connect to all other SKALE Chains through the native SKALE Messaging and Bridge Protocol – IMA (Interchain Messaging Agent).
  • Secure & Decentralized: SKALE uses a pooled security model where nodes are randomly selected and assigned on the Ethereum Mainnet to run SKALE Chains
