About this Chart
Solana Stake Account Actions
Deactivate: Deactivates a currently delegated stake account, initiating the process of un-delegating the stake from the validator. Deactivation may take several epochs to complete and is required before withdrawing funds.
Authorize:
Changes the authority of a stake account, allowing a new public key to manage staking operations.
Initialize:
Sets up a new stake account with specified authorities and lockup parameters, preparing it for delegation.
Split Source:
Divides an existing stake account into two, creating a new stake account with a portion of the original's funds. The original account is the source in this operation.
Authorize Checked:
Similar to the Authorize action but includes an additional verification step requiring the new authority to be a signer.
Merge Destination:
Combines two stake accounts into one. The destination account is the one that will remain after the merge, consolidating the stakes.
Withdraw:
Allows the withdrawal of funds from a stake account. The stake must be fully deactivated before withdrawal.
Merge Source:
In a merge operation, this is the account whose funds will be transferred into the destination account. After the merge, the source account is typically closed.
Deactivate Delinquent:
Deactivates stake delegated to a vote account that has been delinquent for a specified number of epochs, ensuring that underperforming validators do not continue to hold delegated stake.
Initialize Checked:
Similar to Initialize, but requires the withdraw authority to be a signer and does not apply a lockup to the account.
Split Destination:
In a split operation, this is the new stake account created to receive the portion of funds from the original (source) account.
Delegate:
Assigns a stake account's funds to a validator, enabling the stake to earn rewards based on the validator's performance.
Set Lockup:
Configures a lockup on a stake account, restricting withdrawals until a specified epoch or timestamp is reached.
